(2)-1 micron extruded Carbon blocks. Fit all standard 10 inch housings. Used for removal of chlorine,VOCs and more. This is commonly the second stage of an RO system. These filters are rated at 1 micron nominal. To avoid introducing the growth of biological organisms to the system it is suggested to change the prefilters in your system every 4 to 6 months or when you begin to lose pressure to the system. Discoloration of the surface of the filter does not necessarily represent the exhaustion of the filter.
